Evaluation Question 2
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?

The combination of the main product and our ancillary tasks are fairly consistent thorughout.
The digipak itself has a front cover and inside cover with scenes from the music video itself, this keeps the digipak closely linked to the video. During our week of filming we took pictures of the actor at a scene from the music video to keep the link consistent throughout.
The Websites main feature is the large music video view which is central to the page so people can actually see it. This was simular to other websites which we researched throughout the year. The website is simple and easy on the eyes as the colours are soft. Also the band name in the top left hand corner of the page with white text and a red background is easy to see and clear to the audience. Another thing to note is the easy to read menus at the top of the page which are effective by clear and easy opsions.
The main product is the music video which shows links to the other tasks. At the end of the video the actor is shown on a long walk down the track as a long walk to the end which is seen on the digipak itself as the pictures taken were from the site of the scene. This shows the audience what type of music/ video would be like when it is viewed.

Evaluation Question 3
What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
There were various ways to
learn our audience feedback towards the music video. We learnt, and recorded
this feedback in a number of ways;
- Through comments on YouTube video page
- Class presentation
- One-to-one interviews
- Through dialogue
Through these methods of
conveying feedback, we learnt that;
- The continuity of our video produces confusion
- Some cuts are slightly unnecessary/ confusing - They may be too sharp or present continuity issues focused around the storyline.
- Colour - Colour was bright at times, as opposed to dark atmospheres in the next cut.
This feedback influenced us to
keep our atmosphere the same throughout the video, so we opted for a dark
consistent theme. In terms of the cuts, we decided to edit them by fading some
cuts out, whilst leaving some as we thought it produced some film related shots,
eg; match on action.

Evaluation Question 4
How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
During our filming we used the Canon 600D camera and Hama Omega premium III tripod for steady filming with the addictions of lights and a reflector in such scenes as those in the bar. These are very good and professional equipment to give use the best picture quality with all the items being used at the same time. The tripod helped with the stability of the picture and the reflectors helped when the light was a little too low.
What Went Well

The editing of the video was done on Adobe Premier pro.
The making of the website was done using wix.com. We decided originally to use Adobe Dreamweaver but the program required lots of time to do it and so we used a online website builder.
For the research and planning there where various uses of technology such as the internet searching using www.google.co.uk, the use of www.blogger.com to log our work and progress, YouTube for researching into similar products. And also the use of Microsoft Office and photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop. The use of the Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop was for doing our risk assessment and other construction based activities.

What Went Well
- The camera quality was extremely good, providing a range of qualities from 360p to full HD 1080p.
- The tripod was extremely effective in keeping stability and helping us pan and get our steady shots of long walks ie; the railway shot and tunnel shot.
- The time spent on Adobe Premier Pro was quite easy, and no big problems occurred.
- We had major problems with the camera and light coming into the camera, many shots were wasted because not enough light was coming into the camera and the small screen on the camera did not let us see whether the shot would have a good outcome or not.
- The dark atmospheres that we wanted in our video provided a big challenge as we did not have lights in order to compensate for the dark afternoons that we filmed on.
- Exporting our video onto YouTube proved challenging as it took a whole day to upload because of internet speeds and a large HD file.

Website Ideas

From Our research we as a group have found that the simpler the website the easier it is for people to navigate around the website. Also we have found that colums for the news and general information help people find out new things from the band/artist.
Soical networking has taken over as well so on the third plan we have included links to different soical networking sites as we have found that most bands have a link to their soical network sits.
A general picture or video with band performance is very popular so therefore we have taken this into our ideas for our website.
